My hope is that our work together will be highly collaborative and that you will gain more insight into the complexities of your life. I am a trauma informed therapist who utilizes art-based therapy as well as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I thoroughly enjoy working with individuals and couples who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, narcissistic abuse, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. Additionally, I use neurofeedback to help you in furthering your healing.

The greatest gift of therapy is that it helps us learn how to fully be ourselves and how to fully inhabit our lives. Therapy invites you to let down your defenses and see who you really are underneath. The result of doing this is beautiful and affirming, but the process of doing it can be painful and awkward. I am a radically genuine therapist who shoots it straight. I come from a caring and validating place and I’d be honored to share in this journey with you.

Warren Roby MS, MA, Ph.D., LPC

Dr. Roby practices dialogic counseling. He engages his clients in conversations about change. He believes mental illness is rare: most people who are struggling are stuck, not sick. His role is to help clients identify what they want their life to be and then to engage in actions, small and large, to move them toward their goals. The change process involves confronting self-sabotaging behaviors and thinking. His work is informed by his experience teaching linguistics and psychology at universities. He has worked in several countries and has a particular interest in how culture impacts identity and well-being.

    Karen Abrahamson, MA, Ph.D., LPC

Karen holds a Masters Degree in Community Counseling and a PhD in Religion about what it means to have human being, that is, to live in relationship with our communities, environment, and our selves. While she favors Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a top-down approach for helping to challenge unwanted thoughts, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a bottom-up approach that helps individuals identify and mindfully accept their feelings, she also believes strongly in an eclectic approach with methods from Play Therapy and other helpful models of mental health therapy.

The question is, do you wander until you are confused, directionless, hopeless… or do you look for a guide with experience who will share and teach what they have learned? I’m here, I’m ready… Let’s GO! Terry is providing care virtually through video sessions. Terry’s experiences as a Vietnam veteran started him on a journey through a variety of life changes. There is a widespread implication in our society that difficult feelings are unacceptable or inconvenient. If I could assure you of anything, it would be that your emotions are valid and useful, no matter how uncomfortable they are. Let's use them as a guide in discovering what your mind and body are really trying to tell you. I want to support you in becoming a wise leader of yourself, not a prisoner of your pain. With each small step you make toward internal balance, external balance is not far behind.

I believe that success is individual and that every person is the expert of their own life. I am grateful for each and every opportunity to witness change! Therapy is a process of learning about your own ability to solve your problems and build your own toolbox. For children, it is about learning many different tools to use in the many situations they will find themselves in as the grow up. Telehealth Link: doxy.me/ganiece

    Hannah Hart, MS, LCSW

In a world where we often have to shrink to fit in or hide parts of ourself that make others uncomfortable, my hope is to provide the safe space you need to be your true, authentic self.  Being open about your life can be a very scary thing, but I believe there is beauty in being vulnerable and that true healing comes out of vulnerability and connection.  The good news is, you do not have to walk through that discomfort alone. Telehealth Link:doxy.me/hannahhart

Brené Brown once said, “We don’t have to do it alone, we were never meant to.” If you are to find yourself, your family, or your child struggling, the best thing you can do is seek out someone to listen and empathize with your situation. I have years of experience working in the mental health field. I primarily draw from Humanistic and Adlerian schools of psychology.

I heard something on tv that summarizes the way I fill about NWA Premier Therapy and especially Torie as a therapist. I landed in a soft and safe place. She listened to me and she helped me think differently if I was on the wrong track but never said that I was all wrong. She let me cry, get mad and then we talked things through. My family and I are very thankful for her help!

    Gerry

I have worked with Terry for some time now and I have to say I could not be more pleased. With his deep understanding of Neuroplasticity and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I have not only been able to attain a much deeper understanding of myself and the people I care most about, I have also been able to begin to find a way to becoming the person I feel I truly am. The experience has been very rewarding!

I’ve been to many therapists and Torie has been the most helpful. I’ve felt safe, supportive and inspired by the overall feeling of the office and from Torie. Because of the great support and the learning, I’ve gone through about myself, my entire life has changed for the good. I understand why and who I am. I have learned to navigate through situations and life smoothly and with a calmness I’ve never had. They are supportive of all types of people and believes, working within the structures that are comfortable to me. I’m so lucky to have found NWA Premier Therapy, so lucky!

    Jim

When I moved to Arkansas from out of state, I struggled to find a therapist I connected with. After trying three others I found Torie and felt instantly comfortable. She is open minded and easy to talk to. I came into therapy from a dark and lonely place, and Torie helped give me the courage to turn things around and make positive changes in my life. Very grateful I found Torie at NWA Premier Therapy!

    Lindsey

I have been seeing Terry for a few years now. Terry is a great therapist. For someone who is not comfortable talking about herself, he makes it very easy. I’ve had problems with substance abuse which has made me embarrassed and hard on myself. Not once has he made me feel ashamed, but has encouraged me that I could overcome it. He has taught me many different ways to alleviate my problem with anxiety and ways to cope. I would highly recommend Terry Richardson and NWA Premier Therapy.

    Jill

Torie is amazing! Her gentleness, patience and kindness are unparalleled – she meets you where you are (wherever that may be) and customizes her approach to fit you. I saw Torie for about 3 years and my anxiety is all but gone while my confidence and belief in myself have skyrocketed. Torie has provided me the guidance and tools to unlock the magic within myself and share that with those around me. The difference that Torie has made in my life is simply remarkable. Thank you Torie for reminding me that everyone wants to sit in the sparkle seats!

    Rhonda

I had a great experience at NWA Premier Therapy. Everyone is super nice, super helpful and very professional. You won’t be disappointed. Neurofeedback changed how I live and feel everyday. I m calmer and more able to think about what I am responding to.

    Bill

I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful place to receive therapy. I would recommend them to anyone that needs to talk to someone. This time last year I was in terrible place with my mental health and working together with Tori I was able to get to a much better place.

    Autumn

Torie and the NWA Therapy Team have been an integral part of my children’s healing through intense trauma. They saw her regularly for Neurofeedback therapy (a few months) and counseling (about a year) and are both on a happier, healthier path now. I am grateful…so very grateful!
