    Allie Caselman, MSW, LCSW

As a therapist, I am dedicated to bridging the gap between individuals of all ages and diverse disorders. Through compassionate listening and empathy, I hope to establish a safe and nurturing environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and understood. Whether you are a child struggling with anxiety, an adolescent facing life transitions, an adult battling depression, or a family overcoming trauma. I firmly believe that everyone deserves access to quality mental health care. By fostering a strong bond based on trust and respect, I encourage open communication, allowing clients to explore their thoughts and emotions without judgment. This collaborative approach empowers individuals to embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth while working towards their desired outcomes.

I specialize in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) with a deep understanding of the unique needs and developmental stages of children and adolescents. By utilizing this specialized therapy, I aim to empower individuals to develop resilience, reduce distressing symptoms, and regain control over their lives following a traumatic event. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a specialized treatment approach designed to help children and adolescents, aged 3-18 years old, who have experienced trauma. This evidence-based therapy integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques with trauma-sensitive interventions, aiming to reduce the emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with traumatic experiences. TF-CBT recognizes that trauma can significantly impact a child’s development, relationships, and overall well-being. This therapeutic model focuses on helping children and adolescents understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to the traumatic event(s).

I started practicing therapy in Wilmington, NC at a Child Advocacy Center focused on aiding children and families who experienced various forms of abuse and neglect. I recently came from a community mental health agency in rural North Carolina where she focused on completing comprehensive clinical assessments to help diagnosis, engaged, and treat clients of all ages in mental health services. I received a bachelors in Psychology from the University of Arkansas and a Masters in Social Work from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. I am excited to return to the NWA area where I was born and raised.

In my free time, I enjoy to read fantasy books, play all types of board and card games, and spending time outdoors. I also love spending time with my 4 fur-babies and my close-knit family.
